Studio Kaufman Lange is a landscape architecture firm founded and based in Los Angeles. We believe that gardens can foster well-being, place-making, and environmental restoration.

Each new project presents an opportunity for collaboration. In addition to our clients, we work with leaders in other fields, including architecture, building, history, art, urban planning, and horticulture.

Services

  • Our approach to landscape design incorporates site analysis and inspiration from nature to help shape the environment. Drought resilient plant palettes, natural materials, and intentional detailing play vital roles in defining the expression of the space. We provide full landscape architectural services.

  • Thoughtfully placed artwork, integrated within an overall site design, can transform a place. We work with clients and liaise with artists to select, fabricate, and install site-specific artworks.

  • We work alongside our clients and contractors to develop fire-wise plant palettes, fuel modification plans, and landscape management regimes for rebuilding and redevelopment.

  • Gardens are dynamic. We provide maintenance regimes and ongoing supervision to ensure that the landscape design continues to perform and evolve for years to come.
